Description

Duncan MacKinzie was an RAF pilot who set out on a secret mission above the Himalayas, never to be seen again. Peter MacKinzie, the son he never knew, now a thirty-year-old American reporter, quits his job to unravel the mysteries surrounding his father's disappearance. The more he digs, the more unanswered questions he uncovers. And somebody is determined to keep him in the dark, as Peter soon finds out when he is first kidnapped and then framed for murder.

This is a wonderful and touching story that engages you from the beginning, without ever being overly-sentimental or needlessly mysterious. It is one of the few books I've read recently that I could say feels nearly perfectly written, and I'd return to it for either the language or the story. Highly recommended if you're simply looking for a story to fall into.
