A little girl and her brother go stay with their grandpa on the farm for the summer. This summer was different then before because their grandmother has passed away. The farm has become covered with weeds and her grandpa sold parts of it because he says its to hard to look at now that his wife is gone. Her brother noticed one day that the bluebird's that use to sit on the fence weren't there anymore. He wonders if it cause his grandmother isn't around anymore. The girl remembers her grandmother telling her she had a deal with the bluebird's if she kept certain flowers in the garden the would always come around. The next morning the girl goes and digs up the weeds and plants those flowers and not before long the bluebirds return.
