Out of Focus, 3.5 stars. Good plot, good characters. Alas, had that annoying problem of inferior communication skills in the established couple. The passive third re his personal life was teeth-grittingly annoying.

Hiatus, 1 star. Slow. So very slow. God, the resistance to getting help got old.

What He Left Behind might have won more than 3 stars, but until the experiment begins, it is intolerably slow and repetitive to the point where I skimmed. And then it was still a little like that, but not nearly so bad. I guess it was an attempt to show trepidation and seriousness? Once the action starts it's pretty good.

The word polyamory has existed since the late '90s. When I started living poly, it didn't exist. But now it does. I wish more authors would write characters able to use the internet and willing to do a little research. Or put them in places where that isn't an option, at least. This fumbling through shit that's pretty easy to find help for is outdated. ( )
