Description
Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!Whispers at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Whispers. The story conveys all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or show more harsh language. In WHISPERS AT SEASIDE...Having a mad crush on her boss¿s son, Matt Lacroux¿an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy¿is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt¿s life is hours away from Mira¿s home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for. With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt¿s publishing contract couldn¿t have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, beautiful Mira.A surprise encounter leads to midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt¿s sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira¿s not saving his father¿s company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever? show lessTags

Oh Addison Cole, you write such amazing stories with wonderful characters. The Seaside Girls are my favorite friendship ever. They are so strong, sweet, and naughty. They pull pranks, tell secrets to each other, love each other, and love their men so deeply. Each time I pick up a Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summer book I know that I will get to catch up with women.
Whispers at Seaside is the story of Professor Matt Lacroux and single mother Mira Savage. The instant chemistry between Matt and Mira is off the charts. There is no doubt that they belong together but there is also Hagen. Hagen is the best character in the story. As Mira’s son he is the most important person in Mira’s life and anyone who wants to be friends with Mira must be show more friends with her son. Matt comes in and becomes friends with Hagen from the very beginning, he includes him in discussions, dates, and activities without being put out (heart melting).
This book in the series is now my favorite. Matt Lacroux won be over just by his interactions with Hagen. The heat is perfect, the sweetness is wonderful, and the love is just right. show less

This is quite possibly THE sweetest installment in the series yet. Although Whispers can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the rest of the series too! Seeing Matt with Hagen absolutely melted my heart (and may or may not have totally melted my panties)! He's a great guy, and he totally respects sweet, hardworking, single mom Mira. Her fight to the finish attitude means she won't give up easily, and I spent so much time hoping Matt would give in to his heart and stay. They are the sweetest couple yet, and go great with a cup of tea!

Normally I would launch into the storyline and rehash my take on what happens in the book, but I wanted to start by talking about the whole series. The Seaside Summer series has been a wonderful start for the sweet plus heat series by Addison Cole (aka Melissa Foster), and while it stays on the sweet sides of the sheets, the author doesn't stop from jumping into the tough subjects, like alcoholism, lies, single parenthood, unrequited love, etc.; but that’s what I think that’s what makes this series so special.
Now on to Whispers at Seaside! And we are back with the Lacroux family, but more specifically Matt Lacroux; who after spending 3 months sabbatical in Seaside, writing a book and spending time with Mira Savage, is left show more struggling with a big life decision! Does he jump fully back into his life at Princeton and shoot for his dream of a Dean. Or does he follow his heart and grasp something he truly wants...Mira Savage and her son Hagen.
I honestly cannot express just how well written the story and the characters are! Watching not only Mira and Matt's relationship bloom into something wonderful, but also watching Matt and Hogan's relationship was just precious, which is true for the whole book really!
I give Whispers at Seaside 5 stars show less

I really liked this romance. This is the tenth book in the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series but it works perfectly fine as a stand-alone. I have read just a few books in the series and had no trouble keeping up with this one. Addison Cole is the pen name that Melissa Foster uses for the sweeter versions of her books. Whispers at Seaside is the sweeter version of Seaside Whispers. Before trying an Addison Cole book, I had worried that it might feel overly tame and a little too PG for my tastes but there is still plenty of heat to be had in these stories even without detailed sex scenes.
This book is about Matt and Mira and I have to say that I really liked both of these characters right away. Matt is on sabbatical from his job as a show more professor at Princeton and wants to spend some of his time in Seaside with the bookkeeper that works for his father, Mira. Mira is a single mother to a bright little boy named Hegan. I loved how all three of these characters just seemed to fit together from the very start. Matt and Mira had excellent chemistry while Hegan and Matt bonded over several projects that Hegan proudly called “guy stuff”.
There really weren’t too many obstacles keeping these two apart. Matt’s time in Seaside is temporary but I felt like that was something that could be worked out from the start. I had a great time watching these three come together as a unit and I liked the fact that Mira’s son played such an important role in the story. Matt and Mira do get quite a few moments of time just to be together as adults and I thought that their connection felt very real.
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are one of my favorite narrator pairs. I think that their voices really compliment each other well in this kind of audiobook and I was excited to see that they performed this book together. I thought that both narrators did a great job with all of the character voices and brought a lot of emotion and some heat to the story. I think that their talent really added to my overall enjoyment of the story.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought it was a really well-done romance with wonderful characters. I had such a good time watching these three make everything work and become a single unit. I plan to read more from Addison Cole very soon!

Matt + Mira + Hagen = Perfect family!! Matt & Mira have been flirting with dating for years. Matt is a professor at Princeton & is only there for short visits. Mira is afraid to fully commit since she doesn't want a long distance romance. Mira's son, Hagen, loves Matt & they do a lot together. Matt has come home for a three month sabbatical to write a book. What's going to happen when they are close for more than a few days at a time?
Loved Whispers at Seaside!! Matt's relationship with Hagen was an integral part of the story & in my opinion, made it something special. The writing was special & descriptive enough that the sparks between Mira & Matt seemed to jump off the page. Mira's concern for Hagen & his emotions wasapparent & I loved show more how easily Matt shifted so that was one of his concerns too. This is a wonderful addition to the series & can easily be read on its own. show less

I've had the pleasure of both reading and listening to Mira and Matt's show more Romance take flight and am still head over heart for these two. show less
Whispers by Seaside is a good book. Though for me it I think it was more romance than liked but it was not bad. It was written well. I enjoyed it involved the family but it seems like this was more Matt’s story then Mira.
It had a lot to do with Matt and Mira getting together more. Matt is reconnecting with his family. He is also getting involved in Hagen's and Mira's lives more. I am hoping to see more of Matt building relationships with his family more. I know he was building a relationship with Hagen throughout the book then with Mira. I would have like to see the relationship of the build up with Mira throughout the book. I know we did see a part of it.
We hear more about these wedding that are taking place in this book. I would show more have been nice to find out more about Matt and his family more and their loves ones. Mira seems to worry more about her future and about Hagen's.
Will it last? Will Matt stay at his job or will he leave it? You will need to read the book to find out. show less
