And, like, even though they're a straight presenting couple, Trauma Processing: the Miniseries is so queer and cathartic and perfect. More please. ( ) ***THOUGHTS AFTER FINISHING*** Well that gave me the warm fuzzies. I enjoyed it. But I think because I haven't read all the comics they appeared in, it made it a bit more enjoyable. Also I don't know what will happen in the future with them, so I will think they will stay together and grow in their relationship without weird bullshit. They deserve their happy ending with mundane couple things! ***WHO SUCKED ME IN*** Normally I don't add a story to my TBR just because of a Goodreads review. Those are mainly entertainment to me or I'm looking for some diverse opinions on a book. But I glanced over the first few lines of Anne's review and it ignited a deep (long buried) love for Gambit and Rogue. Now that I think about it... I think I shipped them pretty hard as a wee lass. My OTP. So seeing them again. Jup, I'm ready for it. Fan of the kissy-face stories. Pleasantly filled with well-written fun banter, character interplay and charm, and building on the title characters' rich shared history in a cosy and believable way. However, too much of the story is spent on the trite staple of fighting copies of themselves for it to make a lasting impression beyond that. Still, the dialogue stands out a bit (if you don't mind some tongue-in-cheeck silliness at least) and the art's quite good, so this is hovering on the edge of 4 stars and if I was more personally invested in Rogue and Gambit's relationship, that might have tipped it over. no reviews | add a review
