As an NHL player, relationships haven't been my thing. Shrouded in secrecy and speculation, they never last very long. But then that's what happens when you require an NDA before the first date.

Until Charlene. She's like a firefly. She's elusive, and if you catch her she'll burn bright, but keeping her trapped dulls her fire and dims her beauty.

I caught her. And as much as I might want to keep her, I'll never put the lid on her jar. Not at the risk of losing her. So I've let her set the rules in our relationship.

But as long hidden secrets expose us both, I discover exactly how fragile Charlene is, and how much I need her.

We're all broken. We're all messed up. Some more than others. Me more than most.

I feel like I’ve waited forever for Darren and Charlene’s story but now we have it and it’s more amazing than I’d ever hoped for. Darren comes acrooss as moody and unattached but trust me he loves Charlene so much. I loved we got to see the other characters and laugh with them. This story overall was so good I laughed, reared up, and swooned so hard at Darren. I will be rereading again and again. ( )

I wasn't sure anyone could beat Alex and Violet as the best couple. I was wrong, because Darren and Charlene were everything. They were worth they wait. There was the usual hilarity with this wild family but there was more. I loved how these two had back stories that were so opposite to one another yet somehow made it work. Darren said some of the sweetest things and his actions to overcome His "firefly's" fears was beyond endearing.

I loved how this "family" of friends were so integral in each other. They made me laugh and they reminded me that blood doesn't matter in order to create a family. ( )

I know I am in the minority but I wasn't crazy about the book, in fact the majority of the time I was bored, yes you read correctly bored. What saved the book for me was the rest of the cast, it was great reading about them and I laughed with them. I was bummed because I love this series, and I always liked Darren and Charlene but I guess I wasn't expecting what I read, however I am glad that they finally got their HEA. ( )

Helena Hunting lights the lamp with PUCKED LOVE. It is the sixth book in the Pucked series. I’ve been looking forward to reading Charlene Hoar’s and Darren Westinghouse’s book for a long time. Their relationship has been so mysterious throughout this series. I loved finding out what their story is. PUCKED LOVE was full of surprises and interesting twists.

Helena Hunting did an amazing job with her plot and character development. Charlene and Darren are both complicated characters with difficult pasts. They are both broken and the perfect people to fix each other. Their need for privacy was understandable. I love Darren’s nickname for Charlene. It is very appropriate.

There were so many interesting things that happened throughout the novel. It had a little of everything. It was funny, serious, and heartwarming. Darren and Charlene both have unique parents. Their pasts were distressing. I loved PUCKED LOVE. I enjoyed that the crew from the previous books played a crucial role in this story. The team really is a family. PUCKED LOVE was skillfully written and believable. It had the perfect ending. I would love to see a spin off series with the kids. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. ( )
