The best series since The Hunger Games just got better: Escape is just the beginning in this dystopian story of two fearless sisters who must defeat a powerful regime — or risk becoming what they despise.

Twin sisters Becca and Cassie barely got out of the Crazy House alive. Now they're trained, skilled fighters who fear nothing — not even the all-powerful United regime. Together, the sisters hold the key to defeating the despotic government and freeing the people of the former United States. But to win this war, will the girls have to become the very thing they hate?

In this gripping sequel to James Patterson's New York Times bestselling YA blockbuster Crazy House, the world is about to get even crazier.

Back Cover: In the dark tradition of the Hunger Games and Game of Thrones . . . Twin sisters are orphans, warriors, and as different as fire and ice. One will seek revenge in a blaze of fury. The other will wait, frozen, until the moment of truth.

This book did not live up to expectations. I didn’t have high expectations to begin with. First off, it’s the sequel to Crazy House. A house where kids learn to fight and are constantly fighting each other as a show. A show for what who know. At the end of book 1 the twin girls and many others broke out of Crazy House and have now joined the resistance. They have learned that their poor, tranquil and boring lives on the farm were purposely set that way to make things easier for bigger society. But we don’t get to really see that society. We see the girls take positions at the rebel camp and learn to fight. We get some background information but not enough to fill in all the holes. Plus we never get anything else about Crazy House. This book is Fall of Crazy House, there was no fall. Heck the rebellion barely started. And the book does not seem set up for a 3rd. And even if there was a third story I am pretty sure I wouldn’t read it. The book was nice enough, but no staying power and an overall disappointment.
