If you are a bit fan of wolves, you'll enjoy this book. Otherwise, it wasn't bad, just wasn't that great either. The idea isn't that original, it appears in Robert Jordan's books, David Edding's books, etc.
The story line may be trite and hoary, but the crafting was good, the story was fun.
Unlike many a book, I pick the Wolfwalker books up and put food off till I've read them cover to cover - usually.
