I would use around Christmas time because that's the story when Jesus was born. ( )

This has a bit of a "House that Jack Built" thing going on without adding EVERYTHING on to the list, which makes for a decent read-aloud that doesn’t get grating. The illustrations are nice, too, straightforward and effective. ( )
