It was wonderful to take this journey with Hannah, worth the read. This book makes you think about views of the world and how strong the mind can be with coping. ( )

Without getting into spoilers… this one kept me guessing! You wake up locked in a room. You’re sure you shouldn’t be there. No one will listen. It’s all a mistake. Or is it? As one could probably guess from the subject matter, kind of a tough read that raises some hard questions. Many twists. Thoroughly interesting and kept me turning pages.

Trigger Warnings: bulimia, anorexia, mental health issues, abandonment and neglect, suicide

Please excuse typos/name misspellings. Entered on screen reader. ( )

A great, straightforward example of an unreliable narrator. It was hard to put down. ( )

Original Post: I may come back and revisit this one, but for now I'm calling it at 33%. Maybe I just don't like unreliable narrators? But the main character seemed like a sociopath and it was really hard for me to get into any of it. That being said I didn't hate it, and I'd like to see the outcome of everything. I just have too many other books to read right now to force myself to finish this one.

Edit:
I came back and finished this because the audiobook version was available through Overdrive and I needed a book to listen to. The outcome was and wasn't what I expected. This is definitely a bit of a psychological thriller - you're not sure what to trust, and just when you start to figure things out, you realize there's a chance none of that information is trustworthy either. I'm glad I finished it but I don't think I'd have missed anything if I hadn't. ( )
