This book gives an insight into Hopkins life and how he became a writer. I'm not too sure how I felt about this book because I was interested in learning about Hopkins but the book was also boring to me. Overall, I learned some facts about Hopkins which I didn't know before reading this book. Hopkins seemed to have a very relaxed and stressed free life with Duke as he did what he loved being a writer. ( )

This is a biography from the past until now. It's about his childhood to his adulthood as a writer. It's a great book for students who might be interested in becoming a writer. You should always follow your dreams and do what your heart desires. I think this book would be good for 5- 8 grade in a history class. ( )

Lee Bennett Hopkins gives us a look into his past, and how he got into writing. He shares many pictures with his adorable dog, Dude. This is a great book for young writers to read. I might use this book when teaching about autobiographies. After reading the book, my students could write a bio on themselves and explain something they are passionate about. ( )
