Kaine Reynolds wants nothing more than solitude. After an unthinkable tragedy destroys his family, he's cut off all ties to his former life so he can battle his grief the only way he knows how. Alone. So when Piper Campbell knocks on his door, rambling on about being his new neighbor, he slams the door in her face. But Kaine's gruff demeanor doesn't scare her. She's set on living in Montana and starting over after a terrible divorce. And she wouldn't mind having a fling to chase away the pain of her husband's betrayal. Her handsome, albeit rude, neighbor is the perfect candidate. Yet what neither of them suspect is that their no-strings affair will result in the surprise of Piper's lifetime-and Kaine's worst fear.… (more)

So a lot of you missed, cuz I put it on Facebook and not here, my two daughters have their middle name in common with this book. Not going to tell you what their middle names are, because I want you to read the book and find out for yourself. I will give you a hint of course it would have been the names of the twins if they were going to have girls. And of course there you go with a big spoiler right there lol. So of course I'm going to have to mark this as a spoiler alert.

I'm pretty sure I have not made it a big secret about me bawling my eyes out since it's entire book. Those names just pushed me right over the edge and almost made me throw up. Not in a bad way. Just because I was crying so hard I couldn't catch my breath and then I choked.

I swear to God this book it started off ripping my heart to shreds. And then as I mentioned in my updates, totally turned me on. And also made me frustrated, angry, sad, happy, every emotion possibly imagine.

I keep telling people that the Best authors are the ones that can bring you into the story and show you exactly what they're feeling. It doesn't matter what the subject context is, all that matters is the delivery. You could be talking about dogs mating in the woods, if you deliver it properly then you're going to pull your audience in and they're going to stay hooked to your every word to see exactly how that mating is going lol.

Not literally but you get my point.

I absolutely loved the story. I think that these are things that could possibly happen in someone's real life. And I think that's what makes so much more interesting. The fact that you could be reading something about the person that that lives next door to you. Or maybe that random couple that you saw at the grocery store. I love the fact that it's like a glimpse into somebody else's life.

This whole series has been amazing. I can't wait to see if I get as addicted to her other series, or standalones, or her stories where she has been included in other books. Those compilation books.

I'm wondering, does anyone know if she's done any supernatural stuff?

Anyway I am heading off to read the next book. The final book. And I still would love to see Devney did you spin off of this series. Kind of a intro to the children. I've always loved books that do that. There's an author I think her name is tijan? She does a lot of that kind of thing. And I think another one is Michelle something lol? (Maiken?) I could be wrong on these author names so please don't quote me, but I know that they did a lot of spin-offs of their books.

Anyway if the author is reading my review, congratulations on yet another amazing book. Love the story and I'm actually about to cry again over it. I'm going to go wipe up my face. ( )

This story wrecked havoc on my heart. I kept expecting some drama or something catastrophic to come in and push this over the top but it never happened. Instead, it was beautiful to see how pain can evolve into something magical.

These characters were joy personified. I hurt when they hurt and I cheered when they were happy. I'd love to have a story about Kaine's brother and see how he overcomes things. Piper is my favorite character from this series so far which says something since I have liked them all. ( )
