Description
This is the work that introduced Mother Teresa of Calcutta to the Western world. Malcolm Muggeridge paints a profound and moving portrait of a lady whose love for Christ and the needy has deeply impacted many a life-including the author's. "For me," says Muggeridge, "Mother Teresa of Calcutta embodies Christian love in action. Her face shines with the love of Christ on which her whole life is centered, and her words carry that message to a world which never needed it so much.".Tags

Not so much biography as an account of Mother Teresa's impact on Muggeridge's life. Of course, the work that she did is recounted, but what comes through more than that is his understanding of faith and God's love. Though, I am not sure, at least at the time of writing, that his understanding of faith is complete. He is impressed and awed but not convinced that her way—through the RCC—is the way for him.
This book is written by a non-Catholic author and published outside a Catholic imprint, but it offers valuable insight into Mother Teresa’s life and witness, inspiring readers through her devotion, humility, and service to the poor.

This is a personal and intimate account of the life of Mother Teresa, written with humor and understanding.
A work of love by Malcolm Muggeridge as he writes of his encounters with Mother Teresa and her work in India among the poor. First he tells of a television interview with her which leads him to want to know her better and takes him to India with a film crew to capture her in her work. An amazing look into the heart of a woman completely given to God.
Interesting, though reading about Mother Teresa makes you feel like a terrible person.
