Deep in the Pacific Ocean dwells a special family-the Mer-family. They possess great power that can detect potential harm to the vast population of sea creatures. They assured the stability and harmony among all the aquatic beings. Merpapa is a very wise father and is regarded as a strong leader in the mermaid population. Supported by Mermama, Merpapa addressed the disputes among his fellow sea creatures that needed to be resolved. Mermama is considered as the foundation of the family. Together, they raised three children, Polly, Wolly, and Doodle, who, like them, also possessed great power. With Mermama and Merpapa's guidance, their children aid in keeping the Pacific's tranquility. But what happens when the greatest predator in the ocean is threatening the peace of the Pacific? How will the Mer-family fight Jacko, the great white shark? Join the Mer-family together with the other sea creatures in their quest for peace in The Adventures of the Mer-family… (more)

This book is tells the story of the strongest family of Mer People in the Pacific Ocean. For the longest time the Merpapa and Mermama have held together the peace of the ocean; however, this peace is contested by Jacko the Great White Shark. The family pulls together to make the pacific a peaceful place once again. This book would be good for middle aged kids to read because it demonstrates conflict resolution and the resolve that the Mer People have. This book would benefit young and middle aged children. ( )
