It can be hard to have a game of pretend with someone else - especially if that someone else is a stranger who doesn't look like you. In this case, however, the fact that Agu knows things that Sam doesn't ("There are no diamonds in Nigeria") provides the needed icebreaker between these two strangers-turned-friends. (
