This one was almost as magical as if I built a house. If I built a car had too much of the stuff from the house ( )

This book would be really good for primary grades, but could also work for intermediate. This book goes into detail about the school that Jack dreams up and everything that he would have in it. I would love to have this book in my classroom and use it for story time. I would also use it as an example when teaching about imagination and creative writing. ( )

I was first introduced to this series with If I built a car. Well let me tell you, I have been to some nice schools, but none as nice as this. I want a perimeter pool, and a trampoline basketball court. Can I please give back a few years of my life and go back to school? I think this would be a really fun classroom read aloud and then get the kids to design their school. ( )

Amazing! This is the 3rd in the If I Built series and each one is endearing and innovative. The rhyming cadence of the text is engaging and the classic look of the illustration are child friendly. Every time I have read one of his titles to my story time kiddos they are inspired to tell me how they would build their own creation.

Keep on writing! ( )
