I am a big fan of marriage books and this is my all-time favourite. The book is a wonderful mix of practical and wonderous. He manages to show how marriage can be a big inconvenience and a complete miracle -- at the same time. It is not an easy read but it is a beautiful read.
The Mystery of Marriage stands out from how-to-do manuals on marriage as a refreshing how-come-book a brilliant celebration of the God-ordained union between man and wife.
How this guy wrote this book BEFORE getting hitched, I'll never understand. Brilliant insight and a great help.
Really great book. My wife and I have read this together, and we routinely give this book as a wedding or anniversary gift. Not a weighty theological work, but much more, say, mystical. I highly recommend this book if you are married.
