CarTech books in my opinion are absolutely the best and this is another prime example, a wealth of great info and COLOR photos. It has parts numbers, casting numbers, blocks, cranks, rods, pistons, cylinder heads, cams, intake and exhaust, ignition, etc.. This book should be in every Chevy owners garage.(It covers 265-400 Gen 1 and Gen2 Engines) I received this book from an early reviewers list. I already got the other one that they made called "how to build killer chevy small block engines. This was just as good as that book. My step-dad is a do it yourself type of mechanic and he says these books have came quite in handy for him. The descriptions are extremely helpful and very detailed. If you have any questions about the parts for a small block chevy (covers 265-400 Gen 1 and Gen2 Engines) this book I bet your bottom dollar will have the answer. It has parts numbers, casting numbers, blocks, cranks, rods, pistons, cylinder heads, cams, intake and exhaust, ignition, specs and ratings. It will be your go to guide when selecting and swapping high-performance small block parts. Definitely are starting to want to buy the original other books that they have on the shelves. Ever since I started to have to do periodic fixes and replacements to my Ford Mustang, I became interested in learning more about the parts to the genearl car. So when I saw this book in Early Reviewers, I was ecstatic. This book is very extensive and goes into detail about various parts that's under your hood and their vital purpose to the overall motor system of your car.
