Description
...Read Yourself Raw brings back the best of the long-out-of-print first three issues of RAW, the magazine that first published Art Spiegelman's Maus. Here are the golden oldies of "New Wave" cartooning in a stunningly reproduced new anthology with: the full-color covers of each issue; Art Spiegelman's Two-Fisted Painters all-color comic; Mark Beyer's City of Terror bubble-gum cards; Gary Panter's dazed punkabilly Jimbo strips; Charles Burns's Dogboy; Jo M oz's and Jacques Tardi's show more hard-edged cartoon noir cityscapes, and a host of other startling and intriguing picture stories. For those who remember, for those who are just discovering how new the world of comics can really be, Read Yourself Raw is a book not to miss. show lessTags
