The book covers a range of sectors, but the treatment appears sketchy and the solutions offered are often somewhat facile and even disingenuous. If the country could achieve some of these solutions, why would there be such problems in the first place? The chapter on financial instruments sounds like a jargon 'jalebi': are we basically clueless, but cloaking our ignorance in a welter of obscure terms? The chapter on education is not bad, although it may appear again naive to those in the field. People, be careful what you wish for - you may just get it, like the GST regime!
