Fiction. Literature. Romance. She just wanted to claim her inheritance. What she got was a husband . . . Xeni Everly-Wilkins has ten days to clean out her recently departed aunt's massive colonial in Upstate New York. With the feud between her mom and her sisters still raging even in death, she knows this will be no easy task, but when the will is read Xeni quickly discovers the decades old drama between the former R&B singers is just the tip of the iceberg. The secrets, lies, and a crap ton of cash spilled on her lawyer's conference room table all come with terms and conditions. Xeni must marry before she can claim the estate that will set her up for life and her aunt has just the groom in mind. The first book in this series got 3 stars from me. It was good enough to finish, but I didn't love it.

This one? It gets better with every chapter. Yes, it could use one more loving copy edit to catch all the typos in a few spots, but it is lovely all the way through, and I recommend it without reservation. ( )

This one had a bit of a slower start for the couple than Rafe did, but they quickly grow on you. Xeni and Mason were good together and I enjoyed their marriage of convenience story. They took the “why not?” approach to being forced to marry and had fun with it. The love that blossomed was super sweet. And super spicy. ( )

Very sweet. A little too you-go-girl for my personal taste and I could have lived without reading about a couple of their preferred sex acts - in my world I prefer fist pumps to be in the air and pegs are relevant only to assembling cheap furniture - but I really liked Xeni and Mason and all their friends. The event that brought the couple together was absurd, but I liked that there were realistic obstacles the had to overcome to be together ( )

Kind of a really weird book. Not bad. Just slightly off . . . a bagpipe playing Scotsman falls for beneficiary of nice lady's will . . . ( )

Loved this a ton; Xeni and Mason were the best and absolutely perfect for each other. ( )
