Frank Gruber, 1904 - 1969 Frank Gruber started his writing career as a trade journal editor and then as a correspondence school teacher. Over the course of his 31 years as a writer, Gruber produced over 50 novels. Gruber is best known for his Westerns, but was also known to have written some mysteries as well as some screenplays. His well known show more works include, "Fighting Man," "This Gun Is Still," Quantrell's Raiders" and "Town Tamer." show less
