This is the third non-fiction, faith-based book I've read by Debbie Macomber, although it was the first she'd written in this genre. I liked her other two, so when I saw this at the library I figured it would be good - and it was. Whether or not you feel the need to make a plan to follow your dreams, the book provides a blueprint for being successful that is helpful for anyone. It's motivational and offers a spiritual perspective. Easy to read, warm and friendly, with valuable advice.
I almost put this audiobook down after a couple chapters because it appeals highly to mother homemakers... Which is not me at all. But I kept listening and I'm glad I did because it is quite inspirational. It's mostly stuff you know inside, but good to hear again and again.
Best-selling author, Debbie Macomber, comes across as an engaging everyday woman in Knit Together. Each chapter focuses on particular reasons that we were created: purpose, dreams, success, relationships, laughter, etc. Debbie shares her own story throughout the book. I found the insights on goal-setting and journal-keeping particularly helpful. The chapter on laughter had me in stitches. Okay, if you were outside my room, you may have heard a gleeful cackle or two. Easy read, highly recommended.
Inspirational - self-help stuff, enjoyed reading it.
