A woman walks into a restaurant and requests a table for two. She and her guest, which just happens to be her pet poodle, must have the soup. However, the restaurant is out! The simple request turns into anything but simple, and the woman and the waiter go on a quest to find the soup. This entertaining poetic book, with rhyming all throughout, was co-authored by Barney Saltzberg.
Summary: A woman and her poodle really want stew but when they go to a restaurant for the stew there is none left. They find out a busload of Spanish tourists had eaten all of it. This leads to the woman, her poodle, and the chef going out to get more soup because the woman who made it is out bowling.
