Description

Good photographs are seen in the mind's eye before the shutter is tripped, but they are made in the darkroom. For it is in the final stage of photography-in the production of negative print-that the creative vision is realized.

Black and white printmaking techniques circa 1970, now all able to be done in Lightroom or Photoshop. Some great historical sections, especially one on Man Ray, Heartfield, and Moholy-Nagy.
my second-hand copy had never been opened. the technical part was too technical for most but the photos and descriptions of how they were made were good.
