They should have bundled all 3 instead of just 2 =.= ( ) I really did enjoy this read. Two book in one, Hidden Star and Captive Star. Hidden Star is an amnesia story, Cade Parris is having a bad day when into his offices walks a beautiful woman with a problem, she has a lot of money on her, and a rare gem but she has no idea who she is and what's going on. As they look into it they discover an attraction. In Captive Star Jack Dakota is a bounty hunter, his latest target is MJ O'Leary, but she's being set up and his life is in danger, she has the second gem. Again they are in trouble. This story is told at roughly the same time as the first, so you hear messages from both sides as things go on. Overall I enjoyed the ride, pretty predictable in parts but overall very readable. I'm looking forward to finishing out the story with Secret Star. Where I hope to find out more about the mystery person who wants the gems and wants at least one of the girls dead. The two women and two men are pretty believable and the chemistry worked for me. no reviews | add a review

Hidden star : She couldn't remember a thing, not even who she was. But it was clear Bailey James was in trouble. Big trouble. And she desperately needed private eye Cade Parris to help her find out just what kind. Surely she wasn't a criminal. But then what on earth was she doing with a bag full of cash and a stunning blue diamond as big as a baby's fist?
Captive star : Someone had set them both up. Now, handcuffed together, bounty hunter Jack Dakota and bail jumper M.J. O'Leary are on the run from a pair of hired killers. And M.J. isn't talking--not even when Jack finds a gigantic blue diamond hidden in her purse. Everything's telling Jack that the sexy skip he'd been hired to recover can't be trusted...everything, that is, but his heart. No library descriptions found. |
