I first read Donne’s poetry in high school English and he instantly became one of my favorite poets. His Holy Sonnets include two of his most famous poems, Death, Be Not Proud and At the Round Earth’s Imagined Corners. These sonnets speak of sin, atonement, death, and immortality. Donne’s poetry is easy to understand for readers with even a little theological knowledge, yet their depth gives scholars plenty to ponder. ( ) no reviews | add a review
