It does give you a lot more info about the books itself.. should definitely read it.. the other side of the story sort of thing.. But i really like it :) not as much as the actual story though (

This is a World Book Day quickie read (just 69 pages) and serves as a light-hearted aside from the Vampirates series. Conner, Bart and Jez take a break from life aboard The Diablo and spend their 48 hours of shore leave making lots of friends, and quite a few enemies.

As fun, comic, and fraught with mild peril as the rest of the Vampirates books. (
