Ok usually I hate reading blackmail, but this was a great read and introduction to a new series. I loved Devon and Cain both and feel bad for all they went through, but their romance was wonderful and definitely worked. ( )

Being the sole heir, Cain has received every abuse and put down possible from his manipulative father. And all his life Cain Farrell has grit his teeth and kept his focus to work hard and make a mark on his father's company. After all, it is his legacy to inherit. So when that day finally comes to take over, he discovers that his father's machinations have not ended. Stipulations and contracts are in place, that are binding. And let's not forget the two half-brothers he's discovered he has. Man! Gregory Farrell has been busy.

Enter Devon Cole, on a chance meeting in his mother's private garden. She is an innocent victim of another manipulative father, whose ambitions are greater than his values. But they have no idea about what's been planned for them. Let's just say, both Farrell and Cole patriarchs are real nasty pieces of work.

Watching both Cain and Devon, discover these nefarious plans unfurl and then facing them at first with suspicion (on Cain's part) and reticence (on Devon's part) and then the determination to overcome these obstacles and grow from them is refreshing. And the best part is that they find love, strength, and solace in the places and from the people they least expect it from.
