Synopsis: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. A baby is delivered to the house of 'the worst kind of muggles'. He is neglected and abused simply because he is 'different'. At age 11 Harry receives a letter that changes his life - he is accepted into Hogwarts. At the school he learns how to be a wizard, play quidditch, and confront the Dark Lord.

Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This is a completely delightful book that not only tells a good story but shows how even an abused child can make choices that lead to good outcomes.
½
Twenty-first century classics. Book One is still my favorite, even after reading all the others. I love the complicatedness of the others, but this is still the best for me.
Book Two was not among my favorites, though I do adore Dobby, Hogsmeade, and the invisibility cloak.
One of my favorite magical gadgets in J.K. Rowlings' entire creation is the Pensieve, which we first encounter in Book Three.
very interesting story
