Written on an "easy reader" level, Ms. Yolen tells the story of a prince who thinks he wants to live the "simple" life. A wise farmer and his wife teach the prince more than he wants to know about that life, and in the process help him to appreciate his own circumstances. The illustrations by Mr. Kent are cartoonish and appealing.
LOVE this!!! Being demanding vs. hard work...and manners... Want "the simple life"? Its not so simple....:D
