So far only read a few:

~ Empy (2020) short story by Melissa Mead - 4*
Opens with: Mission Control programmed the Pot itself. Feed the Travelers, it directed. Do Not Burn The Food. And so, the Pot cooks to the best of its programming. It sits in the main dome, in a place of honor by the generator pole, turning ration concentrates into meals.

I think it was a perfect little bit of flash fiction

~ One for the Aegis (2020) short story by Marcus Vance - 2.5*
Aliens are interrogating a human because his book is exactly like their war. They are interrogating him about his sequel so they can get an advantage for the upcoming war but it's a trilogy and book 2 is bad news for humans.

~ Correction (2020) short story by Hal Maclean - 3*
Too short to be much of anything but clever and entertaining.

An earlier version of this article stated, "Alien invasion fleet" rather than, "Meng Liberation." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Occupation" rather than, "Partnership." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Eye socket parasite" rather than "Companion." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Stimulates pleasure/pain centers in the brain to control behavior" rather than, "Helpful guidance." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Slaves" rather than, "Volunteers." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Forced breeding camps" rather than, "Hybrid birthing centers." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Eventual extinction" rather than, "Next stage of evolution." We regret the error.
The End

~ Enchanted Objects: Buy-Sell-Trade Group, You Must Be Approved to Join (2020) short story by Tina Connolly - 1.5*
Humorous. Fairy Tale characters (Snow White, The Little Mermaid, The Snow White Queen etc...) in a group chat talking about trying to sell their enchanted items.

~ Static (2020) short story by Lavie Tidhar - 1.5*
What? A waste of time. Post-apocalyptic? Last man in a neighborhood losing his mind.

~ Faust, Redux (2020) short story by Rodney Witherspoon - 2*
A man summons a demon to sell his soul. The demon offers him $10 his explanation for the offer goes over my head.

~ Just Below My Heart (2020) short story by Nina Kiriki Hoffman - 4*
Perfect little bit of flash fiction. At college, a human and an alien meet each other in class. The alien gets to know the human very well. The human may have been too young to make such choices but their relationship seems to benefit her quite a bit.
