The Littles Give A Party

Aww... Most of the charm of this, and similar books like [b:The Borrowers|348573|The Borrowers (The Borrowers, #1)|Mary Norton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1308945559s/348573.jpg|802336], tends to be imagining what it would be like to be small enough to live off the scraps and leavings of normal folks.

But I did like the story in this one. I mean, Granny is eighty, and feeling depressed at having reached a milestone birthday. To help her carry on, the other Littles throw a surprise party and get all her friends to fly in a model plane to attend! Gosh, I'm only in my early 50s, and that would be too much excitement for me!

Do not stop reading these until you're done - each, in sequence, does provoke more thought and does have new adventures. show less

To cheer up grandma, the Littles house a party. I especially liked the rain gutter pool.
