“Please Don't Tell Cooper He's a Dog” by Michelle Lander Feinberg is a beautifully written children’s book about the adventures of a rescue dog, named Cooper and the love and respect he is given by his new human family. Through Coopers adventures, children will see how much Cooper is loved and cared for by this new family, to the extent that there is no differentiation between him and the humans.

The story is light hearted and funny. Cooper is quite a gallivanter. Living life to the full.

It is a great story to show little ones that you can adopt pets and that all animals, adopted or not, should be well loved and cared for.

After reading this book, I understand why this book is a recipient of the prestigious Mom's Choice Gold Award. (“The Mom's Choice Awards(MCA) evaluates products and services created for parents and educators and is globally recognized for establishing the benchmark of excellence in family-friendly media, products and services.”) ( )

Right from the start I absolutely loved this book. The writing is spot on, it's funny with rhyming throughout that even made me giggle. Very cute, colorful illustrations too that really tell the story. ( )
