I did like the romance, but there was a lot going on conflict wise in the book, so sometimes it seemed overwhelming, but the conflict was still resolved in a good way. I can definitely tell the book was written by a hallmark movie writer which wasn’t the worst since I haven’t watched a hallmark movie in a long time. Overall, a satisfying Christmas book. ( ) This was a really cute debut story from Tracy Andreen. Finley goes to Barrington Academy in Connecticut, which is a far cry from her hometown of Christmas, Oklahoma. On a last minute decision, she decides to go home for the holidays. However, Christmas has changed and everything is different. And to add to the chaos, Arthur, a fellow student at the Academy, shows up in Christmas expecting the perfect Christmas. The story was cute and the perfect story to get into the holiday season. I loved it and could not put it down wanting to know what was going to happen. This YA Christmas Romance by Tracy Andreen was sooo cute. Finley may have slightly exaggerated the charm of her hometown of Christmas, Oklahoma to her not so welcoming boarding school classmates up in Connecticut. When she flies home after a sad incident, unsure if she wants to return, Arthur, a posh British classmate follows, believing her false hype that Christmas, Oklahoma is the merry winter wonderland of the Route 66 corridor. Finley is then forced to cobble together fun Christmas experiences (5 candy canes for the awesome reindeer scene!!), and even though they profess not to like each other one bit, the chemistry between her and Arthur is pretty adorable. This was the perfect Hallmark type read, set in an economically hard-hit Oklahoma town (I love unique settings like this), with the perfect dose of Christmas cheer. I loved it! no reviews | add a review
