Brilliantly colored illustrations provide the cheer and hope of a better tomorrow, of rainbows after a storm. COVID isn't named explicitly in the story but there are the classic images of 2020 and COVID; rainbow drawings in the window, geometric chalk designs on the sidewalk, people wearing masks, a Black Lives Matter sign in a window. A good discussion-starter with children about resilience and finding the good. ( )
