Another heartwarming story of growing up and maturing. A sixteen year old boy, Ben, challenges himself in the waves of the North Atlantic Ocean and wins thus reaching a new stage of maturity. It is recommended to young teens who enjoy stories involving surfing and overcoming obstacles in general. The novel also reminds young people that they can learn a lot from older folks a lot more experienced than them as the 75 year old Ray teaches Ben how to surf. ( )
