This book is very character driven and therefore, it is important that the characters in the story are engaging, and readers can connect to them. Thus, it really helped when as a reader, I became very connected emotionally to Emma and Julian. They both were broken but with each other, they slowly are finding their way to take their lives back and to trust again. Why the topics in this book are tough to discuss and could be triggers for some readers, they are very important topics. It was really good to see Emma stand up and face these issues. She remained strong even when it was hard. I do look forward to reading the second book to this duet to see how it all ends. no reviews | add a review
