Alex and John Sampson are at their best battling a Mexican Drug cartel as well as the men sent after them by M. There is plenty of action. I rated this book 4 stars because the part with Bree in Paris added nothing to the Cross and Sampson investigation. I'm also okay with less family interaction because for me that distracts from the stories. (

As always, Alex Cross books are a quick read. In this installment, Sampson and Cross head to the woods to track a cartel, and find 2 rival teams chasing them.
I wasn't as invested in this one as I have been in previous stories. (
