Oh Tallulah, what are you thinking???? But wow, good job surviving the mines and the explosion and navigating into remote locations through a debris field. Thank goodness Sanity is along to save the day when the day needs saving. I was a little thrown off with how quickly everyone just sort of noticed and moved on from an arm amputation, but it's a delight to return to this world and learn more about it. The sneak peek behind the creation of Janet Jupiter was particularly amusing. ( )

So many people on Wilnick are down with the flu that Sanity and Tallulah have been entrusted with a mail run to Gamma. But when they get there, the person they were supposed to deliver to has already gone, so Sanity and Tallulah decide to deliver to him where he is - on a much farther away space station. And instead of taking the 15-hour trip around, they navigate through the debris cloud. It's a shortcut, but it still takes longer than they thought it would, AND they wind up accidentally crossing the blockade into the United Territories. When they cross back over, a blast hits Tortuga, and Sanity and Tallulah head to Epsilon for help. Was the explosion an accident, or an attack - the beginning of a war?

Quotes

"That's...I don't want that to be what's going on. I want it to be...I dunno. Not that." (Tallulah to Sanity, 68)

"Focus on the task at hand, not the cost of failing." (94)

"You just don't want to admit what's right in front of your faces because of what it might mean for our way of life." (146)

"Bad ideas are sneaky, though. Because they seem like good ideas when you're having them." (Tallulah, 181)

"We can't just freeze our lives, waiting to see if something bad happens." (Soledad to Horace, 194) ( )
