This is a very well researched and concise. McKay has written on the subject of Northern Protestants in Ulster before and after the Troubles. Each of the 6 provinces contains several stories with the author over a variety of topics. I would recommend this as well Burned by MCBride and O'Connor's. ( )

Very interesting series of interviews with dozens of northern Protestants and their views on the current political situation.
