Deke had slinked out of her house in the early morning hours after a night of lovemaking and there is no forgiveness in her heart. Will he get a second chance? Does he deserve one? Charlotte is stubborn, with a capital S, so good luck to him breaking through her silent treatment.
Because of her work for the sheriff, they are frequently thrown together and consider them all friends…but Special Agent Deke Sumnter of the FBI…Nope. Never gonna happen. The saying, if looks could kill, applies, but it makes me smile and I am only at 7%.
Sherry runs the flower shop in the small town of Lucky. Gotta mention her, because it is always fun to see my name in a book.
Since the Cheetah gang had come to town, the quiet and security of living in a small town had vanished. This time, Charlotte is in danger, and Deke, along with the rest of law enforcement are on high alert.
Charlotte keeps the police department running like a well oiled machine by handling all the office duties and the gossip mongers. Need a secret kept, she’s your woman.
Deke is known as a happy go lucky guy, but it is a cover to hid his inner most feelings. His childhood kept him from committing to a relationship, allowing himself to have a full and happy life. I am looking forward to learning how he pulls himself together and letting Charlotte into his life.
The romance fits all the criteria for a romantic suspense novel. No surprise there, but this is not the first time I’ve met these characters, so we have a history and I love catching up with them. AND danger seems to go hand in hand with the romance. I love that Amanda Siegrist creates new dangers and smiles for each set of characters and keeps me flying through the pages.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of Deadly Memories by Amanda Siegrist.
