Two longish short stories by Norway's Nobel winning author.

But she ends up marrying another, who turns out to be a nasty piece of work: 'he would break the neck of her conditions like a shrimp'. When Aaro returns and invites her out, she begins a truly magical day - even finding the first dandelions of the show more year fills her with delight of what is to come. But life doesn't always live up to expectations...

Not a particularly enthralling read.
