interesting factoids....total union deaths 360,222..Confederate 258,000 with the majority of deaths caused by disease and not in battle. Alabama has possibly the fewest deaths and fewest battles on its soil.

I've read this book cover to cover, and I love it! It's laden with trivia and a whole lot of stories long forgotton by mainstream textbooks. It's highly reccomended for all you history nerds and Confederacy fans out there. ( )

The facts in this book really are strange and fascinating. If you like numbers and names this is the book for you. It isn't the easiest book to navigate but if you're willing to just sit and read facts and figures you'll love this book. ( )
