Both Matt and Andre were sweet, likable guys. Andre was a up and coming artist with a plan for his life and it doesn't involve working as an escort although he has to admit that the money is good, and he finds the job to be fun. We have met Andre in Marco’s book and saw how terrible he was treated by Tony on the cruise to Hawaii, so it was nice to see that he was trying hard to put that part of his life behind him. Andre met Matt a hockey player on the Beakers, a Seattle hockey team, while Matt was off the schedule with a shoulder injury. It was supposed to be "business as usual" but as we known with other books in this series, it soon turns into "more than just a job". L A Witt is so good at bringing to life these two characters. Both Matt and Andre explore some intense emotional baggage and happily soon come to terms with the results. I really thought that there was going to be some major over-the-top angst, but the author keeps the story interesting and moving forward without putting Matt and Andre through the wringer. The 6th and last book in the series is nicely sets up also. That one will feature Scott, the guy that has given the other players so much grief and torment while refusing to recognize that he shares the same lifestyle as the other four players on his team. Can't wait to see how Scott handles that. ( )
