I would encourage parents to grab a copy of this entire series. It is an easy read for elementary age children as well for parents to read to younger children. This short story illustrates how easy we can get mad at someone . The two animals in the story are cute and gives us details about their eating habits. I like how the author talks about Nibbler the beaver and how hard he works to get the dam secure. Captain is good at catching fish and having fun in the water.

When Captain the otter comes along and damages Nibbler’s hard work, there is tension between them. It is a great story about working together and overcoming anger. Children will love the pictures in the book and have fun learning about making new friends as well. I also recommend this series to be put in libraries at the school.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion. ( )
