Couldn't finish, Super BORING! ( )

"The Girl You Killed" was different to other novels I have read by Leslie Wolfe. In previous books the crime is committed in the first chapter then the reader follows Tess Winnett, Kay Sharp or Baxter and Holt as they gather evidence to find the perpetrator. In "The Girl You Killed" this didn't happen. The reader is invited into Craig and Andi's lives and follows the events that lead to Andi's murder. Most chapters end with a transcript of the testimony of family, friends and acquaintances.

This novel was well-written with lots of twists and turns, and with well-fleshed out characters. There was lots going on and from the start I was invested in the lives of the newlyweds. Although I thought the book ended rather abruptly, I found this a captivating read and one that was difficult to put down. Bravo, Ms Wolfe! ( )

The Girl You Killed by Leslie Wolfe is one of those books that read like true crime.

Andrea loved her husband so much, she tried pushing her doubts aside. Why do women give their men so many breaks? Why do women fight the truth so much? Is it in the way women are wired? I believe we are the stronger sex, we just don’t know it, seeing men keep telling us they are what we need. Any time someone wants to isloate you, do terrible things to you in the name of love, RUN…far and fast. Do women hid in shame and humliation, instead of asking for help from family and friends?

Craig…if it seems to good to be true certainly applies to Crang. MONEY…that is his love. Is he a sociopath? A psychopath? A narcissist? Greed, ego, lies…

I knew some of what I would find, so I was hoping for some of those book surprises that put it over the top. We do have plenty of nail biting suspense to keep me turning the pages that are filled with twists and turns. I recommend buckling up for the ride.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of The Girl You Killed by Leslie Wolfe.
