A collection of short stories featuring Appleby. Some good, but others seemed a bit repetitive, with just the names changed.

Mysteries as a genre may be better in short story form; certainly several mystery writers are for me more enjoyable for their short stories, and Innes is one of them. This is actually a combination of two groups of stories.
SEL writes (on bookplate, flyleaf left) Light, Learned and FUNNY! Deliberately 'overdone' details.
