This book was agonizing in the best way. As opposed to the previous book, which felt a bit filler, I could not set this one down. I felt so engaged in the story, and each chapter felt like a smack in the face with new info. Learning both of their backstories in tandem was just so fun. Loved this one.
Another wonderful volume! I'm really enjoying my reread of this translation! tai3_3's gorgeous cover art and ZeldaCW's interior art is a wonderful accompaniment! This volume includes some of my favorite parts of the story, which are also some of the most difficult, and it was painful and enjoyable to reread them again, and have my heart hurt for all these wonderful characters! It was also so fun to see Xie Lian and Hua Cheng's relationship progress, and see they worked through it. They're so lovely. Xie Lian's friendship with Mu Qing and Feng Xin is also so touching and sad. Mo Xiang Tong Xiu really knows how to tug on your heartstrings in all the best ways!
