What always surprises me about this series, is how the author manages to add such humor to a pretty dark storyline. I love that the female characters are sassy rather than meek doormats. Even the humor with the male leads are hilarious. None of that disputes that this is mafia/mob/bratva based romance so there are criminal aspects.
My only complaint was about how things progressed/escalated with Spider but I think that will change in the next book.

Riley is on her way to her sister's wedding (Sloane from the second book) when a Bratva head kidnaps her. Malek thinks she's responsible for his brother's death. This has been a great series, well-written with lots of twists and reluctant alliances. Riley and Malek are a lot of fun together despite the drama.

Probably the least fav in the series. Too many triggers here.
Riley is just as insufferable as Sloan but even more stupid.
